Brunei Darussalam, 16 January 2025 – The Ministry of Health Brunei Darussalam today officially launched BruHealth 5.0, a major upgrade to the nation’s leading digital health platform. The launch, officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Md Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, was held at the International Convention Centre, and marks the next phase of Brunei’s healthcare digitalisation efforts.
Developed and continuously enhanced in collaboration with EVYD Technology, BruHealth 5.0 introduces a more intuitive, personalised, and connected experience for users. This latest iteration reinforces MOH’s vision of empowering citizens with seamless access to healthcare services, while leveraging EVYD’s advanced technology infrastructure to optimise public health engagement and data-driven decision-making.
A Smarter, More Connected Health Experience
BruHealth 5.0 introduces a range of enhancements designed to simplify healthcare management while promoting proactive wellness.
- Expanded National Health Screening Programs – Now integrating cervical cancer screening, alongside breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and cardiovascular disease screenings, in line with Brunei’s National Cervical Cancer Guidelines.
- Smarter Health Index – A more comprehensive, AI-powered tool that factors in diet, sleep, and stress levels to provide personalised health recommendations.
- Routines Feature – Allows users to track key health habits such as food intake, hydration, sleep, and medication schedules, all within one integrated platform.
- The Oyen Challenge – A gamified wellness feature where users can adopt a digital cat, earning rewards for achieving daily health goals while competing with friends and family.
- BN On the Move Challenge 2025 – Following last year’s national achievement of 90 billion steps, this year’s challenge aims to set even higher milestones for public participation in active living.

Booth Village: Bringing BruHealth 5.0 to Life
Extending the launch event, the BruHealth 5.0 Booth Village, which ran from 15–19 January 2025, provided an interactive experience where attendees explored the app’s new features in depth. The exhibition, executed by EVYD Technology on behalf of Ministry of Health, showcased how each feature contributes to Brunei’s broader healthcare strategy. Visitors engaged with live demonstrations, learnt about the evolution of BruHealth, and gained insights into how the app is shaping the future of healthcare in Brunei.
