EVYD Technology Facilitates Collaborative Research Workshop to Drive Data-Driven Healthcare Innovation
Brunei Darussalam, 10th January – EVYD Technology reaffirmed its commitment to fostering collaboration in healthcare research by hosting a strategic workshop with key stakeholders from the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) to identify research opportunities that align with Brunei’s strategic healthcare priorities. The event served as a platform to facilitate knowledge-sharing and cross-sector partnerships, ensuring that research efforts align with Brunei’s strategic healthcare priorities.
The workshop served as a platform for participants to explore research topics that integrate data-driven methodologies, advanced analytics, and actionable intelligence to address pressing health challenges. The discussions aimed to brainstorm potential research topics that integrate EVYD Technology’s expertise in data analytics, Ministry of Health’s strategic priorities, and Universiti Brunei Darussalam’s resources.
Building a Connected Healthcare Ecosystem
EVYD Technology plays a crucial role in uniting government agencies, academic institutions, and healthcare organisations to enhance healthcare research and decision-making. By creating a collaborative environment, EVYD Technology enables stakeholders to leverage data-driven insights for better resource allocation, improved patient outcomes, and more efficient healthcare operations.
Key Research Themes and Outcomes
During the workshop, participants explored research areas focused on two key thematic areas:
- Disease Burdens and Trends – Encompassing both communicable diseases (e.g., foodborne illnesses, respiratory illnesses, hepatitis) and non-communicable diseases (e.g., heart failure, CKD, NAFLD).
- Healthcare System Optimisation – Covering aspects such as medication prescribing patterns, hospital and clinic utilization, vaccination coverage, and addressing health equity.
Attendees identified multiple research avenues, from disease trend analysis like fragility fractures, dementia, and chronic conditions, optimizing healthcare delivery through initiatives like reducing medication wastage and enhancing clinical processes, and evaluating early detection programs. These ideas aim to support proactive health management and align with Ministry of Health Brunei’s strategic goals.

EVYD Technology remains steadfast to fostering collaboration among government agencies, academia, and healthcare institutions to advance Brunei’s and the global healthcare system. By enabling data interoperability and ensuring healthcare data translates into meaningful insights, Evydence is at the forefront of transforming research into actionable solutions that enhance public health outcomes.
A total of 16 research topics was identified. These shortlisted topics will undergo preliminary evaluation to determine feasibility and alignment with Ministry of Health’s strategic priorities. EVYD Technology will continue to provide advisory support, ensuring that healthcare data is effectively leveraged to drive impactful and scalable research initiatives.
